Résumé
Objectifs
To compare the value of 3D/4D power doppler sonography (3D-PDS) including glass body reconstruction with DCE-MRI imaging in evaluation of prostatitis with biopsy resulats.
Matériels et méthodes
From 2005-2010, 170 patients with prostatitis treated by antibiotics were prospectively scanned with a GE Voluson E-8 unit employing endorectal 11-18 MHZ probe employing conventional 3D-4D imaging using 3D angio and glass body power doppler image reconstruction. 150 patients were followed for 5 years and 60 had recurrence after six months and were re-imaged by 3D-PDS and DCE-MRI.
Résultats
Prostatitis was correctly imaged by standard MRI 30/60 and 32/60 standard sonograms. 55/60 were imaged by DCE-MRI and 3D-PDS. 3D-PDS correlation with DCE-MRI was strong with 5 patients missed by each modality.
Conclusion
3D PDS and DCE-MRI imaging appear equally sensitive in detection of recurrent prostatitis.
