Résumé
Objectifs
To exploit the digital contents of the Radiology Departments in the EU, to define a European Radiological Classification and to set up a European radiological digital data integration framework. To make available, disseminate and support information for benchmarking, evaluation and standardization of radiology workflow and performances, including the fare comparison.
Matériels et méthodes
The partners of the project are the radiological Societies of France, Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic and Radiological Departments from these countries, a consulting company for the technical coordination and two IT providers for design and implementation of the web site. The system requirements have been determined through the analysis and modeling of the clinical and administrative nomenclature, radiological equipment and pricing of procedures collected from the partners.
Résultats
A European Radiological TransNomenclature has been defined. After managing transcoding difficulties between the national radiological nomenclatures, the prototype of web implementation has been developed. Benchmarks on prices, volumes of activities and technologies among the Healthcare Providers belonging to the network is accessed. The prototype is available on the web.
Conclusion
A multilingual European approach for radiological data is possible. The project allows health professionals and patients to access and to compare information of the radiological sector, useful for clinical studies and department management.
